It's been out for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I believe I've listened to this album a good ten to fifteen times.
However before I give you my Effn OPINION on the music I have to say "WTF?" about this cover. This kind of makes Mr. Kardashian's shit look normal. I'm not an art whore so I'm not digging for a huge deep meaning in it. I just know it hurt's my eye's whenever I see it. I guess that's some rich folk shit. I'm just SAYIN! Back to the topic at hand. THE MUSIC. The greatest thing about this album is Timbaland. He's definitely in my top 5 producers. This man made totally different shit this time around and still a variety. Grade a job by him. The intro is pretty suspect way to much JT (Singing in his Bruno Mars voice) not enough Jay-Z but hey everyone is saying this. Maybe we should get over it. It's an effn intro. I fucks with the beat on Picasso I think the last verse kills. The beat change was kind of reminiscent to "A Million and One Question's" (Produced by Dj Premier) off of the album "In my Lifetime Vol.1".
FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt this beat is beast. One of those hate to love joints.. Lyrics though? Mmmm No! Ross has a pretty lazy verse as usual. Then here comes hov and says lemme do exactly as Officer Ricky on this track. C'mon Hov... You call yourself HOV lol.. Whats going on here. My next 2 favorites are F.U.T.W.and Crown. Concept joints with really nice beats. I don't think we need Pharrel the next time Jay-Z decides he wants to come back again and make the young dudes look like garbage. I'm still really hoping this is his last attempt. I just wish the guy would have not used Pharrel and Swiss Beats. A Premo joint? A Blaze joint? Dre? Pete? (I'm not getting into the 16 year old female producer with placement) Sometimes Jay sounds like he's struggling on this album others he seems overly confident (For obvious reason's) I don't think Mr. Carter needs to rap anymore. He needs to stay his old ass home with Blue Ivy. : Just Kidding.. Haa This is my half ass effn review to MCHG. I'm really tired of discussing this.
